be a champion.
There are 5 Champion of Champions events that are held a year. These competitions get seperated into 3 sub-competitions depending on skill level and age. The first competition is the beginners competition which is for only 5 and 6 years old. The next competition is the white/yellow/orange competiton which is for players 7 – 10 years old with no higher than an orange belt. Neither of these first two competitions count towards provincial or district points but are more aimed to developing the judokas skills by allowing them to compete against other players compared to their normal club opponents. All players that compete in the beginners and white/yellow/orange competitions get medals. The Last Competition is the Champion of Champions Competition. This is geared towards more advanced players that want to work on competing in a provincial and national level as certain events have trials included to participate in the SA Championship Teams. Entry fees to these events are R200 for a Competitior and R20 a spectator (Children Under 12 Free.)
